Are you a Hamburg-based student seeking to obtain the highest score possible on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)? If you are searching for the most effective and comprehensive TOEFL prep resources, look no further than the standardized test prep professionals at Manhattan Review. If you are not a native English speaker or English is not your first language, you will want to take advantage of the best TOEFL prep resources available to help you achieve the test-taking success you deserve. When it comes to preparing for the TOEFL, many students enjoy learning in the company of others, finding their peers' questions or comments insightful or inspiring. Other students, however, know they do not perform at their best when attempting to learn challenging information in a group setting. They worry about slowing the group down or holding them back because they need to work at a slower pace. Alternatively, these students may find themselves feeling bored or frustrated once they have mastered a subject but cannot move on until the rest of the group can demonstrate similar mastery. If you know you learn best through one-on-one instruction personalized to your individual learning needs, consider working with one of the talented private tutors at Manhattan Review.

Meet a Hamburg TOEFL Tutor: Luca R.

Luca R. was born in Bern, Switzerland, and lived there for the first thirteen years of his life until his mother accepted a position with a large tech company in Silicon Valley. Luca loved working with computers and quickly became skilled at developing his own app-based games. Luca worked very hard in high school and obtained an impressive ACT score, which allowed him to attend Stanford University, where he majored in computer science and worked as a peer tutor in the university's learning center. After graduating from Stanford, Luca went on to obtain a master's degree in computer science, as well as a TESOL certificate, from the University of California at Berkeley. After graduating, he happily accepted a position with an international non-profit organization focused on improving access to technology in underserved areas around the world.

Luca traveled the world for more than ten years, living in Bali, Pakistan, Serbia, and Turkey before eventually settling in Hamburg. While he loved his work with computers, he also enjoyed helping others learn, and he knew firsthand how important knowledge of the English language could be. Luca soon joined the team at Manhattan Review, and his students appreciate his clear explanations, as well as his time management techniques and senese of humor. When Luca isn't setting the next generation of college students up for their own successes, he can be found visiting art galleries with friends and working on his amateur photography skills.
