Meet a Berlin TOEFL Tutor: Rajesh G.

Rajesh G. was born in Chennai, India, and lived there for the first thirteen years of his life until his mother accepted a position with a large tech company in Seattle. Rajesh loved working with computers and quickly became skilled at developing his own app-based programs. Rajesh worked very hard in high school and obtained an impressive ACT score, which allowed him to attend Brown University, where he majored in computer science. He also spent four semesters working as a peer tutor in his university's learning center, helping others master academic concepts that came easily to him. After graduating from Brown, Rajesh went on to obtain a master's degree in computer science, as well as a TESOL certificate, from the University of Southern California. Following his graduation, he was very happy to accept a position with an international non-profit organization focused on improving access to technology in underserved areas around the world.

Rajesh traveled the world for more than ten years, living in Singapore, Bali, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka before eventually settling in Berlin. While he enjoyed working with computers, Rajesh also enjoyed helping others learn, and he knew firsthand how important a thorough knowledge of the English language could be. Rajesh soon joined the team at Manhattan Review, and his students appreciate his fluency in multiple languages, as well as his clear explanations. When Rajesh isn't setting the next generation of college students up for their own successes, he can be found playing tennis and hosting visiting family members from Chennai.
