Are you a New York-based student seeking to obtain the highest possible score on the SAT? If you are searching for the most effective and comprehensive SAT preparation resources, look no further than the standardized test prep experts at Manhattan Review. Many students study perfectly well in classroom-style group settings, enjoying interactions with peers and finding their learning improved by others' questions and comments. Other students, however, know that they do not perform or learn at their best in a group setting. They worry about not grasping information as fast as other students and fear holding the group back. Alternatively, these students may feel frustrated when they have mastered a particular concept but cannot move on until the rest of the group is able to demonstrate similar mastery. If you find trying to learn test-related information in a group more distracting than helpful and know you retain concepts best through one-on-one instruction, consider working with one of the experienced private tutors at Manhattan Review. I like his walkthrough of the problems. Also the strategies he gave. It helped me improve my English and writing. I went up on my SAT scores.

Meet a New York SAT Tutor: Carolina Z.
Carolina Z. was born in Guatemala but moved to Austin with her family as a teen. Carolina fell in love with science at an early age and dreamed of becoming a researcher and educator. She worked very hard during high school, obtaining high grades and serving as vice president of the student council. Her hard work, combined with a very high SAT score, earned Carolina a place at Johns Hopkins University, where she double majored in biology and chemistry. Carolina worked in the college's learning center as a tutor for four semesters, helping others master topics that came easily to her, and she was surprised to discover how much she enjoyed supporting others' learning.
After graduating from Johns Hopkins, Carolina obtained a master's degree in education from the University of Maryland. She then accepted a job teaching science classes at a public high school in New York. Carolina was thrilled to relocate to such an exciting city, and she loved working directly with students. Knowing the value of a quality education, Carolina sought ways to help students earn their own college acceptance letters. She soon joined the team at Manhattan Review as a private tutor, and there is regularly a waitlist to work with her. Students rave about her customized tutoring programs and appreciate her patience, as well as her time management techniques. When she isn't helping the next generation of college students master the SAT, Carolina can be found eating tacos at her favorite local taqueria and going salsa dancing with friends.
