Meet a Munich Tutor: Emilia K.

Emilia K. grew up in Munich, then moved to the United States to attend college. She respected the teachers who helped her succeed in school and knew she wanted to support others in their learning endeavors, leading her to pursue a career as a professional educator. Emilia majored in history at Boston University. She then obtained a master's degree in education from Tufts University and after graduating, she accepted a position in the Boston public school system, teaching history, language arts, and English to English-speaking and ESL students. Emilia enjoyed the work she did, and she received many well-deserved promotions. As she found herself assuming more managerial tasks, Emilia began to miss the work she had done with students and hoped to return to the classroom. After a few years, Emilia was offered a position at a prestigious international school in Munich, and she was thrilled to return home. When Manhattan Review opened an office in the city, Emilia quickly joined the team as a professional instructor.
