IELTS Tutoring in London

Are you a London-based student seeking to obtain the highest score possible on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS)? If you are searching for the most effective and comprehensive IELTS preparation resources, look no further than the standardized test prep experts at Manhattan Review. If English is not your first or native language and you plan on attending an English-speaking college or university, you will need to obtain an impressive score on the IELTS. A high score on this exam demonstrates your readiness to learn in the English language, as well as your ability to engage with others in English. When it comes to preparing for the IELTS, many students enjoy learning in the company of others and find their peers' questions and comments helpful. Other students, however, know they do not perform to their full capabilities when attempting to learn in a classroom-style group setting. They may find themselves distracted by others or frustrated when they must alter their own pace of learning to match that of their peers. If you are an ESL student ready to prepare for the IELTS and know you learn best through a program of study personalized to your unique test-taking needs, consider working with one of the expert private tutors at Manhattan Review.

While learning any new language can be challenging, those who learn English as their second, third, or fourth language know true mastery requires far more effort than merely reviewing vocabulary words. Interactive conversation and dedicated study are necessary to effectively immerse yourself in the English language, and the world-class tutors at Manhattan Review are eager to help you obtain the IELTS score you need to attend the college of your dreams. Working one-on-one with a professional educator is one of the fastest and most reliable ways to improve your grasp of test-related information. Preparing for an exam with a private tutor has also been shown to accelerate learning, helping you master the concepts you need to excel while improving your confidence in your test-taking skills and reducing test-related anxiety.

Meet a London IELTS Tutor: Stephen P.

Stephen P. was born in Dublin but moved to the United States for college. He hoped to one day become a professional educator, and he worked hard in high school, even preparing for the SAT with a private tutor. After obtaining an impressive test score, Stephen was accepted at the University of Chicago, where he double majored in English and education. During his undergraduate program, he spent five semesters working in the university's learning center, helping others master information that came easily to him. He then attended American University, where he obtained a master's degree in teaching, as well as a TESOL certificate. After graduating, he accepted a position with an established international school in Washington, DC.

A few years later, Stephen's wife was offered an exciting position that required the couple to relocate to London, and he was happy to live in the dynamic city. Wanting to continue his work with students, Stephen quickly joined the team at Manhattan Review as a TOEFL and IELTS tutor. Students appreciate his thorough explanations, as well as his sense of humor when breaking down the English language. When he isn't helping the next generation of English-speakers prepare for IELTS success, Stephen can be found going horseback riding with his wife and watching football games with friends.
