Meet a Berlin GRE Tutor: Alessia D.

Alessia D. grew up in Palermo, Italy, where she discovered a passion for math at an early age. She worked very hard in school and her high grades, combined with an impressive SAT score, earned her admittance to Brown University, where she completed an undergraduate degree in mathematics. During her undergrad, she worked part-time as a peer tutor helping others understand math courses and concepts that came easily to her. Intent on obtaining a graduate degree, Alessia made preparing for the GRE a top priority, and her hard work was rewarded with a high score that opened important academic doors. Alessia obtained a master's degree in mathematical sciences from the University of Oxford, consistently ranked among the best graduate programs in the world.

After graduating, Alessia accepted a position with a respected international investment company. She was excited to relocate to Berlin and hoped to find ways to continue working with students while establishing her career. When a rare position for an experienced tutor opened up at the local Manhattan Review office, Alessia soon joined the team. Her students appreciate her strong quantitative reasoning skills, as well as her clear explanations and patient demeanor. When she isn't helping future graduate students obtain their own impressive GRE scores, Alessia can be found knitting and hosting potlucks with friends.
